PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana
The Government of India has approved the "PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana" on 29th February 2024 with the aim of enabling the adoption of solar rooftop capacity and empowering residential homes to produce their own electricity. The objective of this scheme is to establish a skilled workforce proficient in deploying, maintaining, and supporting the widespread use of solar technology. Under this scheme, the goal is to form a group of 1,00,000 Solar PV Technicians and 500 Trainers across India.
DGT, Government of India, with the support of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), has prepared a training framework, and the National Instructional Media Institute (NIMI) has been selected as the training partner. The training details are as follows:
